MAN KILLED IN SOUTHEAST SHOOTING

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Southeast, D.C.

On Friday, December 22, 2023, at approximately 11:16 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to the 3000 block of Stanton Road, Southeast, for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting. A short time later, First District officers were alerted that a rideshare driver had brought a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the First District station. He died at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Tejuan Coleman, of Southeast, DC.
